Ordering & Accounts
How do I place an order?
We don't have an automated checkout for most products — all orders are handled directly by our team. Fill out the inquiry form, email us at sales@canna-gas.com, or call (877) 710-1965. We'll confirm availability, pricing, and arrange delivery. We typically respond within one business day.
Do you offer wholesale pricing or accounts?
Yes. We work with labs, processors, manufacturers, and cultivators of all sizes. If you're ordering regularly, contact us to set up a wholesale account. Wholesale pricing is available on most products and volume discounts apply on larger orders. Get in touch to discuss your needs.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
Minimums vary by product. Dry ice has a minimum order of 500 lbs (one tote). Hydrocarbons, ethanol, and filtration media have no strict minimums for most SKUs, though pricing improves at higher quantities. Contact us and we'll work with you based on what your operation needs.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept multiple payment methods. Contact us directly for details on accepted payment options and net terms for established wholesale accounts.
Where are you located?
We operate from four locations across the US: Massachusetts (97 Turnpike Rd, Westborough — East Coast HQ), Maine (75 Scott Dr, Wesbrook), California (17909 Adelanto Rd, Adelanto), and Arizona. Having four locations means faster delivery and better regional coverage for labs across North America.
Hydrocarbons
What purity level are your hydrocarbons?
All of our hydrocarbons are 99.5%+ purity. This applies to N-Butane, Propane, Isobutane, and all pre-mixed blends. COAs are available for every product to verify purity specifications for your compliance and QC requirements.
What hydrocarbon products do you carry?
We carry N-Butane, Propane, Isobutane, our popular 70/30 N-Butane/Propane blend, and custom 2-part and 3-part blends built to your specification. All are available at 99.5%+ purity.
How much do your cylinders hold?
Our cylinders are filled to true spec: N-Butane (120 lbs), Isobutane (116 lbs), Propane (100 lbs), 70/30 Blend (114 lbs), and Custom Blends (114 lbs). You get exactly what's on the label — no short fills.
Can you make custom hydrocarbon blends?
Yes. We create custom 2-part and 3-part blends using N-Butane, Propane, and Isobutane at any ratio your extraction process requires. Tell us your target output, system specs, and biomass type — we'll formulate the right blend. Contact us to discuss.
Are your hydrocarbons shipped hazmat-certified?
Yes. Every hydrocarbon shipment is handled by our hazmat-certified logistics team, packaged to DOT standards, and delivered fully compliant. We work with your facility to ensure delivery meets your state and local requirements. SDS sheets are available for all products.
Ethanol & IPA
What ethanol and alcohol products do you carry?
We carry 200 Proof Ethanol (ACS/USP/NF grade), Denatured Ethanol (CDA-12A), 99% Isopropyl Alcohol (USP), and 70% Isopropyl Alcohol. All are available in pails (~5 gal), drums (~55 gal), and totes (~275 gal).
What's the difference between ACS, USP, and NF grade ethanol?
ACS (American Chemical Society) meets high-purity standards for laboratory use. USP (United States Pharmacopeia) meets pharmaceutical-grade standards, suitable for products that may be ingested. NF (National Formulary) is a pharmaceutical excipient standard. Our 200 Proof Ethanol meets all three — it's the highest standard available and suitable for regulated cannabis markets.
What is Denatured Ethanol (CDA-12A) and when should I use it?
CDA-12A is ethanol denatured with n-heptane, making it non-beverage and typically less regulated (and less expensive) than food-grade ethanol. It's suitable for applications where absolute purity grade is not required. It is not recommended for products that will be consumed — check your state regulations before using denatured ethanol in your process.
What container sizes are available for ethanol?
Ethanol and IPA products are available in pails (~5 gallons), drums (~55 gallons), and totes (~275 gallons). Volume pricing improves at drum and tote quantities. Contact us for current pricing on each size.
Filtration Media
What filtration media products do you carry?
We carry our own branded Strainer line (S1, S1M, S2, S2M) — granular CRC media in standard and medium-flow formats — as well as a full range of powdered media including Silica Gel 60A, B80 Bleaching Clay, MagSil PR, Activated Alumina, Activated Hardwood Carbon, T-5 (Activated Bentonite Clay), and T-41. We also carry molecular sieves (10A, 4A, ProofUp Beads 3A).
What's the difference between Strainer 1 and Strainer 2?
Strainer 1 (S1) is our standard-flow granular media — moderate filtration strength, ideal for standard-quality biomass in high-throughput systems. Strainer 2 (S2) contains approximately 1.5x the silica content of S1, making it more aggressive — better suited for aged, dark, or high-moisture biomass requiring heavier color and lipid remediation. The M variants (S1M, S2M) are finer-grain for medium-flow, higher-pressure systems.
How much filtration media do I need per run?
A general guideline is 150–250 grams of media per 1 lb of biomass, adjusted based on biomass quality: high-grade biomass requires less (150g/lb), lower-grade or aged biomass requires more (250g/lb). Refer to the TDS for each product for a full loading rate table. Our team can also help you dial in the right amount for your specific system and biomass.
Can filtration media be reused?
Yes, most media can be reused, though efficacy decreases with each consecutive run. Flush the media with pure solvent between runs to recover yield. Replace when the desired output quality is no longer achieved. Spent media may be subject to local disposal regulations — consult the SDS and applicable regulations before disposal.
What are molecular sieves used for?
Molecular sieves are zeolite bead adsorbents used to remove water and moisture from solvents and extracts. ProofUp Beads 3A are specifically designed for ethanol proof-up (removing water while leaving ethanol intact). 4A beads are used for general ethanol drying and dehydration. 10A beads are used for solvent drying and preventing emulsification.
Specialty Solvents
What specialty solvents do you carry?
Our core specialty solvent catalog includes n-Heptane, n-Pentane, Hexanes ACS, Acetone, and Methanol. We also have access to LCMS/HPLC chromatography solvents, BioFrost 80, Thermoltec HTF, PG 60/40, and more. If you need something not listed, contact us — we can source a wide range of specialty chemicals.
Can you source solvents not listed on your website?
In most cases, yes. Our network gives us access to a broad range of specialty chemicals and process fluids. Send us your product name, grade, quantity, and intended use and we'll confirm availability and pricing. Contact us with your specs.
Dry Ice
What dry ice options do you offer?
We offer dry ice in 500 lb totes (minimum order) and 1,000 lb totes. A refundable tote deposit is required with all orders. Dry ice is delivered alongside your solvent or hydrocarbon orders for convenience.
Can I order dry ice on its own, or does it need to come with a solvent order?
Dry ice is primarily delivered alongside hydrocarbon and solvent orders. Contact us to discuss standalone dry ice delivery options based on your location and order frequency.
What is the tote deposit and how does it work?
A refundable deposit is charged for the tote container used to deliver dry ice. The deposit is returned when the tote is picked up in good condition. Contact us for current deposit amounts and pickup scheduling.
Documentation
Do you provide Certificates of Analysis (COAs)?
Yes. COAs are available for all hydrocarbon and solvent products. They verify purity specifications and support your compliance and QC requirements. Request a COA when you place your order or contact us at sales@canna-gas.com.
Are Safety Data Sheets (SDS) available?
Yes. SDS sheets are available for all products. Contact us at sales@canna-gas.com to request the SDS for any specific product. For filtration media, the SDS includes important health and safety information including PPE requirements — please read before handling.
Are Technical Data Sheets (TDS) available?
